I am a businessman aged 45 years and I have arthritis in my thumbs (the metacarpal joints carpio to be precise). I bought these to give me some relief by limiting my movement somewhat and providing some support. These fit the bill! They were durable and wash easily. I've worn for up to 2 weeks between washing and they stink. Sponge back of thumb has pilled a bit, but that's OK. You can not beat the price either! WAY cheaper than Mechanix Wearequivalent.
